A two-book series prepared by Canadian Pacific's former Archivist who, unfortunately, passed away before he managed to complete another planned book for us, The Railways of Newfoundland.

Canadian National in the East by J. Norman Lowe
The first three volumes were written by CN's former History Officer, the fourth work comes from Keith Littlewood. The series of gives an interesting insight into the government railway from the Ontario/ Manitoba border eastwards. Volume Two is out of print but we can supply a photocopy.

Canadian Pacific in Southern Ontario by Newton Rossiter
Three books covering CP in the area west of Toronto by one of Canada's great railway photographers.

CN/CP in Northern Ontario by Dale Wilson and Gordon Jomini

Canadian Pacific's Electric Lines by George Roth and Bill Clack
CP owned two short interurban lines in Southern Ontario and this is their story told by a former conductor. Unfortunately, the work is out of print but we can supply a photocopy.

The Railways of Toronto by John Riddell
A two-volume, comprehensive look at the first 100 years of railways in Canada's largest city. It deals almost exclusively with the steam era.

CP's Montreal Lakeshore Commuter Services by Ron Ritchie
One of the few commuter railway services in Canada. This work was prepared by the Assistant to the VP at CP and looks at the passenger services west of the city.

The Toronto Hamilton & Buffalo Railway (Volume One) by John Spring
This book covers many aspects of the railway which provided the bridge between southern Ontario and northern New York State. A complete locomotive roster is included.
Volume Two has just been published (June 15, 2001).
